My roommate is about to leave, she will go to Taxas for her PHD. Some of our frineds get together today, probably the last time for her.
She is a very nice girl who really helped me a lot. She came Cincinnati 1 year earlier than me, and has more knowledge in every area of life. I honestly find myself so lucky to meet her during the first month of my American life and how good the mamery is when we were together.
Almost ten of us were together today and we went to ride horses, barbecue and KTV. A lot of fun.
Some of them are very good at barbecue, the chicken is the tastest one, but the rain suddenly can and we all run into the car. We were all suprised to see one of us bravely run into the rain, no caring about how big the rain drops were! He looks very serious and later we find out that he is looking for his camera. But we actually had taken it to our car maybe just didn`t realize. How lucky we were!
The KTV part was really a high point, we almost all sang, very emotionaly. I found them are all very good at singing, I feel everyone was in the music and it was a enjoyable experience.
My Best Wishes to my roommate, wish her happy, enjoy her new life!

I do decide to change my topic today. After I finish my TOEFL test in Blue Ash, I take the 67th bus home. On the way home, I saw a lot of brand and tons of transport companies. I suddenly came up the question one of my friends asked me several months ago: Cincinnati is the home for more than 500 famous companies, but why its city level is not that big? I have no idea about this question at that time. Actually I can`t believe that Cincinnati has so many famous companies at that time.
Back to 2009, the time I first came here, I don`t think this is a big city. The first place I went was downtown. I was a little bit disappointed because that was not like what I imagined. My stereotype at that time was: the downtown is the center of a city`s business. The memories I had for the first glance of downtown Cincinnati was the empty building and the massy streets. I have to say that it used to be part of the city but it is not the whole.
Today I did some research and I found that there are a lot of famous companies here in Cincinnati, like P&G, Macy’s, Kroger, 5/3 bank and so on which are very success in their area. But my question is: if there are so many companies in Cincinnati, why the city level is not big? Or it not looks like a city with so many businesses?
There are some views with my glasses: I think a city with very successful companies should have very busy town where a lot of companies gathered; the city should own very convenient transportation; most people should have jobs and its downtown should be very crowded and beautiful.
So in my paper, I would like to know what part is Cincinnati playing in these famous companies in order to figure out why Cincinnati is not a very big city, I think it will answer my questions about Cincinnati downtown and the job options; what are the advantages and disadvantages for business in Cincinnati, I think it will related to the transportation issues, the natural resources, the geology location; and why it is not the big city as I thought, I think it will related to some other cities I went.
